$160,000.00 -215,000.00 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience.

ABOUT THE JOB

OneStream is seeking dynamic leaders to spearhead innovation in step with our rapid growth, ensuring 100% customer success. As the Director of User Experience, you will lead and expand a team of researchers and creative professionals, shaping and implementing the overall user experience vision and strategy. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Product & Engineering, you will play a crucial role in enhancing UI/UX design quality and processes within the team and in collaboration with Product Management, Platform Development and MarketPlace Engineering.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead a team of designers and researchers including team meetings, reviews, personal development, mentoring and coaching.

Participate in the planning process for new features and projects.

Work collaboratively with other areas of the business, including product management and engineering to ensure progression towards business KPI's.

Drive the development and evaluation of usability studies to inform customer requirements, shape the designs and evaluate the final products.

Develop and maintain a UX program to guide designers, product management and technical teams towards main UX objective.

Lead internal sessions, customer reviews, and usability events to gather feedback and data on design effectiveness.

Oversee the development of, and maintenance of wire frames, user flows, interaction design, visual design mock-ups, personas, scenarios, prototypes, specifications, navigation maps and other design documents.

Oversee the production of world-class designs and gain buy-in on them across all levels of project stakeholders.

Guide the direction of the storyboard building to conceptualize designs and convey project plans to clients and leadership.

Conduct performance appraisals, coaching and mentoring to UX team.

Encourage professional development and ensure appropriate training initiatives within the team.

Participate in the hiring and onboarding processes effectively.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALITIES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in engineering, relevant design field, computer science, or a related technical degree is required.

Strong portfolio of projects and a strong track record of cross-functional collaboration.

10+ years of overall design experience, preferably in the CPM/ERM space or Finance industry.

1-3 years of experience in a Director-level role within the UX space, demonstrating leadership and strategic vision.

8+ years of leadership/management experience of UI/UX Design teams.

Experience managing and interacting with UX research teams.

Expert in understanding of design, usability and research best practices.

Experience with UX research platforms and UX design platforms.

Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to recruit, mentor, coach, develop and manage a team of designers.

Dispense knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience ranging from developers to C-level executives.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Experience with any of the following preferred:

User Testing, Adobe Suite (XD), Figma.
