Position Summary

The Office of the Dean of Students at Purdue Northwest is seeking a creative and motivated Student Social Media Manager. This role is ideal for a student who is proficient in Canva and has a strong understanding of engagement analytics. The Student Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating and managing content across various social media platforms to enhance student engagement and promote the initiatives of the Dean of Students.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content on social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).Utilize Canva to design visually appealing graphics, infographics, and promotional materials.Monitor and analyze social media engagement metrics to optimize content and strategy.Collaborate with the Dean of Students and other departments to align social media efforts with university events and campaigns.Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.Stay updated on social media trends and best practices to ensure the university's social media presence remains current and effective.Assist in the planning and execution of social media campaigns and contests.Qualifications

Current student at Purdue University Northwest.Proficiency in Canva for creating social media graphics.Strong understanding of social media platforms and engagement analytics.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Creative mindset with attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience managing social media accounts.Knowledge of social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).Experience with video editing software.
