Any additional information you require for this job can be found in the below text Make sure to read thoroughly, then apply.Job Overview: As a Creative Director, you will lead the Creative Direction from trend and initial concept, all the way through to finished product to align with the company’s business objectives and meet all critical dates, product specifications and profitability goals. You will develop and embrace an understanding of our “Customer First” culture by immersing yourself and your designs into our brand and products. You will be instrumental in leading the Design Team to translate new market trends into compelling, trend-forward, innovative and saleable products. A successful Creative Director is a strong, visionary leader dedicated to inspiring and motivating their team to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Own and effectively communicate the Creative Program Vision from trend research, concept design all the way through to final design execution to continually evolve our product categories forward.

Research emerging trends via our subscribed trend services, trade shows, retail market research, social media, fashion etc. and continuously bring forward new, innovative product/program ideas to bring to market.

Create and deliver program presentations for both internal and external customers for all trends, new business initiatives, and new program development.

Collaborate with cross-functional team members to understand sales performance, strategize the needs of the business, understand manufacturing capabilities and costing to effectively inform your decision making during the creative development process.

Lead creative product design for all licensed partners. Effectively interpret licensed assets, character style guides and work within the guidelines of the licensed brand while aligning to the company’s goals & objectives.

Oversee the creation of all product spec and mechanical files for sourcing and/or production ensuring that all design and costing objectives are met.

Review samples and oversee the creation of all revision files as needed.

Prioritize team workload and resources to effectively manage multiple, overlapping projects to run smoothly and on-time according to the various development calendars.

Define and lead the product vision and ensure the execution is aligned with the company’s business objectives.

Effectively lead and mentor the Design Team to reach their full potential and drive high performance.

Engage team to examine current practices and encourages creative thinking about how things could be more effective and efficient.

Asserts own ideas and persuades others in a clear, confident, and composed manner. Tailors message for the audience and is able to gain support and commitment from others.

Collaborative style with a strong ability to establish trust and build relationships across all levels and functions of the organization.

Instrumental in the training and development of the design staff.

Creates a sense of pace around getting work done efficiently and effectively.

Skills Required:

Highly skilled in illustration, graphic design and art direction.

Highly skilled in the technical setup and preparation of design files for production.

Must be flexible, adaptable, innovative, and open in response to competitive pressure and market change.

Able to pivot quickly and make timely decisions based on changing needs in a fast-paced environment with ambitious schedules and deadlines.

Coaches, provides creative guidance and fosters teamwork.

Proactive and self-motivated, with a high level of organizational skills.

Promotes process improvement and continuously looks for areas to streamline.

Conducts market research.

Develops creative standards.

Ability to learn new tools and processes quickly while staying abreast of new and emerging technologies.

Scope:Needs to have an expert understanding of the product creation lifecycle. Should be self-directed, proactive and able to own the full creative development process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Technical Design Degree Required.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in fashion or consumer product design.

3+ years’ in leadership capacity.

Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis in PowerPoint and Basic Excel Knowledge.
