Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Marketing Events to join our Marketing and Business Development department. This highly motivated, detail-orientated individual will work closely with our business development team, lawyers and office contacts to implement initiatives focused on promoting the firm and will develop and administer best practices for adoption throughout the department. This role is responsible for the negotiation, planning and execution of business development programs and events and requires work hours in excess of the standard work day and work week, especially during peak events seasons.
This position is based in Dallas, Texas. We offer a hybrid working policy which requires being in the office on an as needed basis. It is expected that this position may work remotely unless their tasks dictate, or they are requested by their supervisor to come into the office or be onsite at an event.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Plan, organize and execute firm events, meetings, webinars, conferences and related activities of all types, virtual and in-person, while working closely with firm lawyers and business development counterparts on these effortsParticipate in venue and vendor research, contract negotiation, budgeting, food and beverage management, audio-visual, production design, program materials, registration and attendance collation, feedback and post-event analysis for all assigned eventsServe as editor for event communications including tracking of all event requests, approvals, plans and summaries; manage distribution of invitations, reminders and follow-up emailsDevelop relationships with key industry venues and vendorsResearch and profile major industry/practice event and sponsorship opportunities that align with business development objectives for potential participationReport on pre- and post-event metrics such as RSVPs, attendance lists, surveys, etc.Research and source promotional items, as neededUpdate and maintain the marketing events calendarLiaise and collaborate with marketing teams and other departments on other projects, as assignedTravel to assigned eventsOther duties

Qualifications and job-related skills
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in marketing, hospitality or communicationsThree to five years of dedicated corporate event planning and execution experience, preferably in a professional services, corporate or law firm environmentCMP certification is a plus, but not requiredStrong knowledge of events strategy and vendor negotiation in F&B, production design, partnering with hotels, venues and vendors (technology, AV, apps, webinars, etc.)Strong budget management and accurate reconciliation skillsProfessionalism, personal integrity and high degree of confidentiality and discretionAttention to detail, accuracy, responsiveness and excellent organizational skills requiredHigh level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite productsGood judgment and accountability for delivering excellent work productsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; both written and oralStrong critical thinking and analytical skillsAbility to adapt in an ever-changing environment, including the ability to prioritizeReliable, flexible and a can-do attitude is essentialProficiency in document management systems and CRM databases, ideally in iManage Work, InterAction and Vuture is a plusUnderstanding of Zoom, MS Teams and ON24 webinar platform is a plus, but not requiredStrong image and presence that engenders confidence to firm management, lawyers and administration and maintains composure under event pressureStrong ability and willingness to learn new systems, as requiredAbility to work effectively with a diverse group of highly educated individuals with strong opinions and varying professional development priorities and goalsAbility to travel, as needed
