Job Responsibilities:

A Senior Paid Media squad member is responsible for leading the strategy and implementation planning for customers within a squad. Managing the delivery of customer work by mid- and junior-level squad members, a Senior Paid Media squad member will be responsible for ensuring the work we are delivering for customers is meeting objectives and driving innovation with paid media. Seen as a thought leader, Senior Paid Media squad members will be an advocate for evolving best practices and improving our offering across platforms.MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is a non-exhaustive list of accountabilities and responsibilities of a Senior Paid Media Squad member:

Overall:

Lead the strategy and implementation planning for customers within the squadAssist in the production of insights decks for use across Sales, Marketing and Account ManagementSupport new business efforts with Sales and add-on efforts with Account Management to maximise our chance of winningProactively manage the delivery of work by mid- and junior-level squad membersProactively spot opportunities for growth of squad customer setOwn senior internal relationships and communicate technical subjects effectivelyManagement of resources across our enablement function, where appropriateOwn senior client stakeholder relationshipsCommercial responsibility for revenue growth within the squad client setSupport the wider business by contributing to e.g. knowledge shares, a specialism, pitch decks, insights decks etc., outside of your SquadKey competencies:

Retain all relevant certificationsAssist Squad Lead with resource management and planning for customers within the squad, planning resource effectively around profitability, delivery and peaks in workload alongside Squad LeadDeep understanding of squad customers and able to step in with escalationsWork with Squad Lead, Enablement and Account Management to define client strategiesIdentify knowledge gaps and effectively plan solutionsMentoring and tutoring of junior/mid-level squad members, for example on technical training or becoming involved in the planning of goals and development for squad membersAdvocate best practices in processes and tasks for media buying but able to challenge the normAble to lead and present deliverables across all media platformsLeverage industry and media owner trends and developments to actively improve service offerings across the whole Paid Media teamLead on forecasting and cross-channel planning for clients within the squadContinue to develop and utilise a specialism, such as in ad platforms or industries, both in strategy and planning alongside knowledge sharingMaintain technical ability within ad platforms to step in to support the delivery of customer workREQUIREMENTS

Experience:

As a guide, we would expect a person to have a minimum of around 5 years in a role using Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta and LinkedIn AdsAble to demonstrate a proficiency and leadership with analysis, reporting and communication and technical understanding of paid media platformsProven client service experienceBe known as a "thought leader"Skills & Knowledge:

Shows strong ability to manage the delivery of projects, planning time and resources to deliver the best results for a customerRegularly adds value with customers, even with little exposure and looks for ways to deliver value above and beyond the normal scope of their roleCreates some efficient ways of working to improve their own and others' workflowIs able to validate their team's work, and spot errors before they become an issue. Be a point of escalation for work checking. Takes ownership of the team on client challengesAble to lead by example across a number of different work types, e.g. strategy, planning, implementation, checking results and correcting faultsIs a leader. Shows leadership in taking ownership of any task and is happy to be accountable for any deliverables. Owns client relationships and escalations. Doesn't unnecessarily defer to the squad leader when client challenges become difficult.Can spot opportunities to create or significantly evolve processes and procedures as part of the client work.Can train others on processes and ensure that they promote adherence to themA trusted senior decision makerUses industry knowledge and expertise (from our business but also 3rd parties) to solution find and inspire clients
