We have a fast-paced and fun group that believes strongly in customer-centricity and setting a high bar for everything we ship.As the Product Design Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of talented designers, user researchers, and content strategists, fostering a Design culture that delivers high-impact solutions. You will be responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of design projects across FIS's banking products, ensuring consistency, user focus, and alignment with business goals. In this role, you'll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive innovation, guide your team, and deliver exceptional user experiences. You'll also play a critical role in the growth and development of the Design team at large, mentoring them to unlock their potential.Key Responsibilities:Lead and Manage Design Teams: Oversee a team of designers, user researchers, and content strategists, ensuring they have the resources, mentorship, and guidance to execute high-quality design work on time and within scope.Define Design Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define a long-term vision and roadmap for our fintech and banking products. Ensure alignment with business goals and user needs.Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, and other teams to ensure clear communication, effective project delivery, and shared design goals.Drive Innovation: Encourage creative thinking and exploration of new ideas within the design team, pushing the boundaries of user-centered design solutions.Establish Design Processes: Build and maintain scalable design systems and workflows that ensure consistency and operational excellence.Elevate Design Quality: Help teams uncover insights from user research, analytics, and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve design solutions. Lead the design critique and review process to maintain a high standard of quality.Resource Management: Manage project resources, timelines, and priorities across multiple workstreams, ensuring the design team is equipped to meet deadlines.Mentor and Develop Talent: Guide the professional growth of both individual contributors and design managers, providing feedback, coaching, and opportunities for development.Communicate with Impact: Present design strategies and solutions to leadership and cross-functional teams, influencing decisions with user-centered rationale and business acumen.What You Will Need:7+ years of experience in product design, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role.Proven ability to lead and expand high-performance design teams, managing both individual contributors and managers and hiring for key roles.Strong understanding of design systems, UI/UX principles, and user-centered design methodologies.Experience with Figma and a familiarity with modern front-end frameworks like React.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of aligning design efforts to business goals.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Experience working in cross-functional environments, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and leadership to ship successful products.A balanced approach to decision-making, considering both user needs and business objectives.Strong organizational skills with experience in resource management and project prioritization.What We Offer:Impactful Work: Shape the future of digital banking experiences.Growth Opportunities: Continued learning, development, and leadership opportunities.Competitive Benefits: Comprehensive health plans, 401(k), and more.FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $154,720.00 - $259,940.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
