About the role
Customer Marketing is not just storytelling. It is passionate advocacy for our customers, understanding their needs, telling their stories, and building relationships that are mutually beneficial that will earn us their advocacy in return. Your work will directly tie to revenue, and be measured by your ability to help our team attract and close new customers. This role will holistically own - and build - a scalable reference program and optimize case studies, testimonials, and other customer content. From day one you'll work at lightning speed to build and streamline cross-functional processes and ensure that voice-of-customer content is embedded throughout our sales and marketing tools (campaigns, web, events, collateral, ads, and more) and build trust and rapport with our community of customers.
What you will do
Content creation. Deliver customer-centric content, including testimonials, references, and stories in audio, video, and written formats that make our sales and marketing teams sing your praises for being what they needed to close the deal.Strategy. You'll think strategically and ensure that your programs are aligned with company goals (e.g. improve closed-won rate by X% within Y months to help drive new logo sales among midmarket companies in XYZ industries).Collaboration. Work across teams, including Account Management and Sales, to 1) source and create customer content, and 2) ensure Sales and Marketing is maximizing use of that content, including optimizing, automating, and streamlining formats, processes, etc.Build & Optimize. You'll stand up two meaty, mission critical programs from 0>1. Then, you'll deploy operational rigor to optimize them and run them from 1>100.Internal comms. You'll write cross-functional briefs for designers, reports on the performance of customer content, detailed plans that get executive buy-in, and hype comms for Ripplers to get to know our customers better.What you will need
Experience in customer marketing, content marketing, and/or social media. You know what works and push the limits of what is possible in those channels.Experience speaking with, engaging, with, and building rapport with customers.3-5 years of experience in marketing, ideally B2B or in another complex product/market,Skill as a creator (video, written, audio) and communicator (written and oral) that's apparent in both the quality and quantity of your outputStrong project management skills, including standing up programs from scratch and scaling them; the ability to toggle as the focus shiftsThe drive of a self-starter with a keen interest to understand Rippling's customers and how they can fuel our company's growthResults-driven with strong initiative and ability to work independently

The pay range for this role is:
84,000 - 147,000 USD per year (US Tier 1)
75,600 - 132,300 USD per year (US Tier 2)
71,400 - 124,950 USD per year (US Tier 3)
