About The Role
Design plays an essential role in ensuring the product is intuitive and efficient, helping free up smart people to work on hard problems for their organizations rather than the busy work that often comes with their job. We hold design to a higher standard than others in the industry, and it's an important differentiator for us. The user experience is essential in building trust with our customers so they can feel confident that important aspects of their business run without fail. As designers, you're responsible for creating these experiences that solve real everyday problems.
We're looking for a Lead Product Designer (individual contributor), who is passionate about helping businesses succeed in their mission by helping them run more effectively. Our Finance product vertical owns everything from Payroll and General Ledger Integrations to Time & Attendance. This role will own the end-to-end experience for a Finance product line(s) and help us build a collaborative cross-functional team.
What You Will Do
Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define both the long-term and short-term tactics for new and existing features and products.Improve and expand new products, and execute tactical deliverables.Design fully featured product experiences that provide power and flexibility, but simultaneously provide simplicity and ease of use.Partner closely with our user research team, collaborate and support UX research projects, and use research findings in design work.Participate in design reviews and share your work regularly with the design and company leadership.Understand the array of technical constraints and capabilities, user goals, and business requirements that shape a product.Work with Engineering to ensure quality implementation and product launches.What You Will Need
6+ years of professional work experience in an individual contributor role, on a Product Design team.Experience leading and mentoring other designers from the individual contributor role.Experience owning the end-to-end design for a product(s).B.A/B.S. in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field/equivalent experience.Strong craft demonstrated through a portfolio, showcasing a depth of knowledge in user experience, interaction, and visual/user interface design.Experience shipping high-quality product experiences.Experience partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, and Product Designers to execute on UX deliverables.Experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions.Experience validating design decisions through user/usability research.Additional Information

Rippling highly values in-office collaboration. Employees living within 30 miles of an office are expected to work onsite three days a week with those living 30-49.9 miles away expected to be in the office one day a week. Employees living over 50 miles away are required to relocate within 30 miles of an office. To enhance team cohesiveness, new employees are asked to work onsite three days a week for their first six months.
