Social Media Assistant Coordinator Job at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg

Job Summary The Social Media Assistant Coordinator oversees all of Cornerstone Chapel's social media platforms as a part of our Communications Team (Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube). The Social Media Assistant Coordinator works with our Communications Coordinator and Graphic Designers to post pictures and content with the goal of communicating information to, and inspiring engagement from, the church body and local community. Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Communications or a similar field of study preferred Experience Minimum 1 year of experience preferred Photography & video editing experience a plus Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of, and experience with, social media campaign strategies Knowledge of, and experience with, graphic design or visual media promotion Strong written communication skills Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner Strong organization and planning skills Ability to anticipate information that would be helpful for the congregation Technologies Proficient with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X platforms Physical Capabilities Able to walk and stand for prolonged periods Able to perform routine seated desk work at a computer Able to work both indoors and outdoors in a range of temperatures typical for Virginia Personal Characteristics Affirms Cornerstone Chapel's Articles of Faith Exemplifies Christian behavior in attitude, speech, and actions toward others Exhibits patience Teachable spirit and servant attitude Willing to go above and beyond to get the job done Proactive and creative Work Hours / Travel Monday- Friday, night and weekend hours required Available for routine travel to Cornerstone Christian Academy (CCA) for photography Job Functions and Tasks Implements social media strategies for Cornerstone Chapel social media (Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube) Works with Communications Coordinator to plan, schedule, and post to Cornerstone Chapel social media accounts Consults with staff and Communications Coordinator to arrange promotional campaigns in all types of social media for ministry events or services Innovates creative ideas to engage with the Cornerstone congregation through social media platforms Remains up-to-date with current social media trends, especially as used in church settings, to implement as applicable to Cornerstone's social media platforms Monitors live service feeds on Facebook and YouTube as a representative of Cornerstone Chapel to welcome viewers, answer questions, and ensure a safe and friendly online environment
