Job Description Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Technical Writing Intern to join our Information Development team. Our technical writers create client-facing documents that help customers set up and use our products and services. The ideal candidate will have a background in writing and a passion for learning about new technologies. Any experience with APIs or XML will be helpful. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, user guides, and manuals. Understand and adhere to department style and process guidelines. Understand product development methodologies in an Agile environment. Foster and maintain positive working relationships with other team members and key stakeholders. Research and document new and updated features for products. Improve existing documentation. Attend project meetings and report progress on a regular basis. Collaborate with developers, designers, product managers, and customer support to ensure accuracy and quality of documentation to contribute to a positive user experience. Key Responsibilities: Learn and document new technologies, APIs, and software functionalities. Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, and accuracy. Develop expertise with our authoring and publishing tools. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in writing, English, Journalism, Technical Communication, or a related field and graduating afterDecember 2025 Preferred Qualifications: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Interest in technology and willingness to learn about new tools and systems. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A portfolio with writing samples. Basic understanding of APIs and XML is preferred. Familiarity with technical writing tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar. Experience with version control systems like Git. Previous experience or coursework in technical writing. Previous experience with DITA documentation and XML documentation tools. Additional Information U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary for a new hire into this position is $24/HR to $27/HR USD which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time. Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
