Job Description: Create designs, prototypes and/or concepts for business productivity, gaming, entertainment, or other software or hardware applications. Create User experience designs (UX design) defined as the creation of user interface (UI) and human to computer interaction design for web-based applications/software interfaces. Create application/software prototypes and/or concepts for the following industry domains: business productivity, gaming, entertainment, or other software/hardware uses. Leverage human centered design (HCD) best practices to ensure products and services are desirable, relevant, usable, personal, and feasible. Conceptualize and facilitate ideation sessions, storyboarding, and brainstorming to develop user scenarios and sketch early-stage mockups. Drive UX design from definition to ideation to delivery. Produce design briefs (UX project specifications) and support the production of information architecture diagrams, wireframes, interaction flows, low-fi prototypes, or other artifacts required to develop and evolve user experience designs. Implement Microsoft visual design languages for production of UX designs. Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate user feedback and telemetry into design solutions. Develop and design special effects, designs, or other visual images using industry design technologies that improve Microsoft product user experience or other world class creations like computer games. Combine artistic talent with user research on product use to create the most functional and appealing design. Telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.
Requirements:
Education: Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Design, Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related.Experience: Two (2) years of experience in data visualization.Specific Skills Requirements: Requires education or experience in each of the following: Designing end-to-end interactive platforms; Wireframing and Prototyping; Customer Journey Mapping; Visual Design; Figma; User Centered Designing; Design Thinking; and Information Architecture.
Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (job code: TSKBD18016a), based in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $156,650 to $186,650.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.?
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
