JOB SUMMARY
The DTC Marketing Specialist is a full-time position under the direction of the Direct-to-Consumer Senior Marketing Manager and is a hybrid position based at Benziger Winery in Glen Ellen, CA, and is responsible for being a proactive part of the DTC Marketing team. The Marketing Specialist will work with cross-functional teams to convey the unique brand stories through emails, website, and social media. We are looking for a talented individual who is tech savvy and passionate about our brands.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Website and Email marketing:
Creates content for all email campaigns, and ensures emails are reviewed and scheduled according to the plan.Analyzes email campaigns, implements A/B testing, and makes recommendations for improvement.Stays up to date with ecommerce trends and contributes ideas for new emails.Implements ideas for automated and targeted emails.Collaborate with team on ecommerce campaign strategy.Updates websites with new content, events, and banners/ pop-ups.
Social Media content & advertising
Plan and execute social media content calendar for Benziger & Imagery wineriesTell unique brand stories through unique and engaging content. Collaborate with various teams to learn stories and capture photos & videos.Attend key winery events to capture content.In collaboration with the Senior DTC Marketing Manager, plan and execute all social media advertising.Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the insights. Share these learnings on a pre-determined cadence.Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.Lead community management for DTC social media accounts.Monitor competitive social platforms and websites to identify trends or new tactics to engage new and existing customers.Stay abreast of new functionality and reporting offered on social platforms.
Copywriting:
Develop marketing copy for tasting room collateral, wine club newsletters, websites, new products or experiences, and other marketing projects that aligns with product tone and brand voice.Create tasting notes/tech sheets for every Imagery and Benziger SKU, approximately 30 SKUs per brand annually. Work closely with Winemaking and production teams to ensure accuracy in descriptions and technical characteristics of each wine.
Other duties:
Assist with scheduling press visits, and media sample sends as needed.Updates external partner websites and adds events to local calendars (Yelp, Trip Advisor, Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau, Sonoma County Tourism, etc.).Work with Sr. Marketing Manager on entering wines to various wine competitions and publications throughout the year and arrange for sample sends.Assists with planning and executing photo shoots.Works various winery events throughout the year.

Must be 21 years of age or older.Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience.Email marketing: Minimum 3 years' experience creating and executing email campaigns.Social media: 2-3 years' experience creating engaging content, creating, and managing advertising through Meta.Experience with Google Analytics, Ad Words, Display Network and SEO/SEM optimization a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience crafting and writing marketing copy, including but not limited to sales support materials, email marketing messages, social media, and/or other marketing promotions.Knowledge or interest of the wine industry a plus.Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detailMust have ability to multitask, work well under pressure and be able to adhere to strict deadlines.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies.Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in an office environment.Working environment is both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to related equipment and noise levels.Limited travel to other facilities in California as required.COMPENSATION
