THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE
As the Visual Merchandising Sr Specialist, International, you will act as the critical liaison between Ulta Beauty's US teams, global partners, and external vendors, ensuring seamless communication in support of new market expansion and ongoing VM development. Reporting to the Manager of Visual Merchandising within the Concept Development team, you will manage information flow, flag potential risks, and solve or escalate as required. Leveraging your design/visual background, you will champion Ulta Beauty's Global VM standards, ensuring proper translation across markets. You will support the team's efforts to mold Ulta Beauty's in-store experience as we pursue new market growth.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:Primary liaison between Ulta Beauty US teams, their international counterparts, and external manufacturing partners, facilitating new market launches, brand updates, and transfer of new VM concepts across markets.Ensure Ulta Beauty's VM standards and identity are consistently represented and implemented across international markets via rendering and prototype reviews; update VM documentation as required.Identify opportunities to continually improve the in-store experience, targeting innovation and guest experience as primary sales growth drivers.Be expert in the Visual Merchandising intersections between the Ulta Beauty and International VM teams, supporting the process and transfer of key in-store presentation informationMonitor ongoing processes to identify challenges, troubleshoot issues and proactively flag risks or exceptions, ensuring timely resolution or escalation to appropriate stakeholders.Lead onboarding for new vendors, brands, and partners, ensuring seamless transition into VM Ways of Working processes.Serve as conduit between Ulta Beauty and partner teams - primarily the broader Visual Merchandising team, Store Design, Store operations, and Merchandising.Proactively anticipate upcoming initiatives to inform strategic inclusion into project pipeline.THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS
At least 3-5 years of experience in corporate visual merchandising or in-store marketing, optimally complimented with in-store working experience.Undergraduate degree in relevant field (Marketing, Design, Visual Merchandising, Project Management) and/or equivalent field experience focused on visual merchandising.Experience with the interconnection between store fixtures, graphic communication, product merchandising and store operations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Self-starter capable of working independently, taking initiative, and making decisions while managing multiple projectsFluency in software programs as required to visualize and communicate concepts, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.Ability to review engineering drawings, work through prototypes and sample store set-ups, and work with suppliers on production requirements.Work travel may be required to International locations, local stores, manufacturing plants, or conferences.Fluency in Spanish preferred
(written and spoken).
WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to assist in mock store or live store sets or installations:
Moving or transporting boxes, fixtures, visuals up to 35 pounds across store environments or between locations. Unpacking visual boxes, or fixture/ product display boxes & keep the mock store clean and organized.
