The Role

The professional in this role acts as a trusted advisor to Kyndryl’s Chief Information Officer (CIO), aiding them in executing their strategic priorities by utilizing various engagement channels and tools to ensure effective and impactful communication. Key responsibilities include crafting, editing, and promoting messages that align with the critical mission of the CIO organization. Additionally, this professional supports advancing the external eminence of the CIO.

Responsibilities:

Crafting communications and messaging in support of Kyndryl’s CIO team, which include critical IT updates or mission-critical communications and external visibility.

Creating and developing content in support of the CIO’s strategic imperatives for both internal and external audiences; crafting social media posts and supporting media interviews.

Partnering with Corporate Affairs colleagues to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging throughout Kyndryl.

Ensuring that all communications are reflective of Kyndryl’s ethics, beliefs and core values

Building presentations and embracing contemporary multi-channel communications approaches that appeal to multiple audiences.

Crafting external executive eminence programs.

Projecting a polished and professional presence.

Compensation

The compensation range for this remote position in the U.S. is $116,760 to $221,880 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $128,400 to $266,040

Colorado: $116,760 to $221,880

New York City: $140,040 to $266,040

Washington: $128,400 to $243,960

Washington DC: $128,400 to $243,960

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.

Required Skills, Experience and Circumstances:

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or journalism.

Minimum of 10 years of communications experience, including executive and employee communications and some experience in crisis communications.

A solid understanding of the IT sector, tools and systems

Skilled at writing and editing talking points, blogs, social media submissions and content to inform global audiences

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and the ability to multitask and prioritize projects

Possess strong attention to detail, with exceptional written and verbal communications skills

Be able to convey the impact of technology changes through storytelling across multiple mediums and to a global audience.

Be empathetic with an understanding of how messaging may be received and interpreted by different stakeholders, with an ability to formulate clear and concise messaging even in sensitive situations

Possess insight and knowledge of communications best practices and techniques

Proficient at Microsoft 365 suite and Teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

Detail-oriented, flexible and ability to interact confidently with stakeholders of all levels.

Ability to proactively solve problems to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
