Summary: The Designer is responsible designing new concepts and designs for a product category within defined theme and seasons from concept through final delivery. Presents and delivers brand-right designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy; encompassing style, color/print and graphic design for new/existing product lines. Researches and interprets fashion trends and consumer needs that uphold the integrity of the product lines/brand.
Responsibilities
Conceptualize and design multiple creative solutions3D package design and the understanding of various packaging types and materials, such as paper, soft goods and cut and sewAssist in the creation and execution of final designsCreate Design Turn Overs (DTO) and finalize artwork for productionWork with cross functional development partners during product sampling stagesSupport creation of concept and design options for their category/iesUpdate design board layouts and printouts, including concept boardsAssist in researching trends and patterns for upcoming seasonsQualifications
Minimum of 4 - 6 years of prior experience in 2D / 3D design, Illustration and graphic/product design; package design preferredStrong sense of design, typography and colorStrong level of creativity, conceptualization, execution, organization and design skillsDrawing and computer illustration skills - Strong Illustrator and Photoshop skills are requiredAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFundamental experience and/or knowledge of design with photographyStrong fashion sense with ability to translate into graphic designAbility to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborate design environmentSolid communication and presentation skillsStore visits and/or customer insights focus groups
