Position Overview:

The Senior UX Designer will be responsible for leading UX research efforts and delivering high-quality UX and UI designs. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to understand user needs, generate insights through research, and translate these findings into highly functional and visually compelling designs. You will play a critical role in ensuring Arcserve’s products are intuitive, user-friendly, and designed to meet the needs of our diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Research: Plan, conduct, and analyze user research, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and competitive analysis, to uncover insights that drive product and design decisions.
  • Persona Development: Develop detailed user personas and journey maps that reflect the needs, pain points, and behaviors of Arcserve’s diverse customer base.
  • Design Strategy: Define and drive UX strategies and design solutions that align with the product vision, business goals, and customer needs.
  • UX/UI Design: Create high-quality UX and UI design deliverables, including wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and design specifications, ensuring consistency across platforms and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with cross-functional teams—product managers, engineers, and marketers—to translate user insights into innovative design solutions that enhance the overall user experience.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Rapidly prototype concepts and lead usability testing to iterate on designs, gathering user feedback and making data-driven decisions.
  • Design Systems: Contribute to and maintain Arcserve’s design systems, ensuring visual consistency, scalability, and reusability across all products.
  • High Output: Deliver high volumes of polished UX/UI design work while maintaining attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • UX Metrics & Analytics: Leverage UX metrics and data to continuously improve the user experience and design effectiveness.
  • Accessibility: Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and are inclusive for a wide range of users.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong emphasis on research-driven design.
  • Proven experience in conducting and analyzing UX research, including both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX research and design projects, including examples of high-impact designs from concept to completion.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar tools.
  • Experience with prototyping tools like Axure, Figma, or Marvel.
  • Knowledge of UX design processes, usability principles, interaction design, and user-centered design methodologies.
  • Familiarity with design systems and creating reusable components for cross-platform consistency.
  • Understanding of responsive and adaptive design, ensuring seamless experiences across web and mobile devices.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and advocate for the user.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience working within Agile or Lean UX environments.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience designing for a broad range of users.
  • Experience with UX analytics and A/B testing tools is a plus.
