About the Role:

The Investment Banking Experience Design team is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our small but passionate team. As a senior member of the Experience Design team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our flagship products within the Classic workspace. This role demands a blend of creative vision, leadership, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end design projects within the Classic workspace, ensuring that the design solutions are viable, feasible, and desirable.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional team members, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to design.
  • Contribute to the evolution and refinement of the team’s processes, advocating best practices in UX design.
  • Mentor junior designers, helping to elevate the team’s overall skill set and promoting a culture of learning and growth.
  • Drive initiatives to advance UX maturity across the organization, demonstrating the value of user-centered design in achieving business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product design experience, with a proven track record of successful project leadership.
  • Expert proficiency in Figma, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating design decisions and storytelling to diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of the latest UX design and technology trends.
  • A self-starter who possesses an intrinsic motivation to explore innovative ideas, challenge conventional approaches, and continuously seek opportunities for improvement and learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A passion for UX maturity, demonstrated by successful initiatives that have significantly enhanced user experience and led to positive business outcomes.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to better understand implementation constraints and enhance design feasibility.
  • A strong passion for metrics and analytics, with the ability to leverage data in designing solutions that drive user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Familiar with tools and methodologies for measuring UX success and a proven track record of using quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions.

Salary Range:
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150,000-$250,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
