The Sr. Manager, Trade Marketing will play a pivotal role in shaping the go-to market strategy with Sunkist Growers US and Canadian retail accounts. This position will be an expert in retail marketing programs, consumer behavior and shopper/category insights.
Key objectives of this position is to support the strategic overview of Category and Shopper marketing programs directed by the Sr. Director Category Management & Marketing. This position involves cross-functional collaboration, support and working closely with Category management, Brand marketing, Sunkist sales and Sunkist varietal desk
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Serves as the shopper marketing expert across assigned US and Canadian retail account base, leveraging category, consumer, shopper, retail and brand strategies.Develops and manages trade marketing strategies and activations for retail accounts; including advertising, promotions, in-store merchandising tactics, point-of-sale materials and retailer driven initiatives.Creating actionable customer marketing plans. Ensuring compliance with brand standards.Identifies competitive trends within the retail and/or social landscape to make recommendations for action plans and programs based on key learningsSupports outside shopper agencies with briefings, review/approvals and evaluation.Acts as traffic manager for all assigned account-specific promotions to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met.Acting as lead negotiator and contact for retail tie-in partnerships, Retail Media Network programs and online shopping customers (ie: Instacart).Highly collaborative with category management, marketing and sales; engaging in discussions on performance of various programs, attending sales calls and marketing visits to understand opportunities, trends and shoppers from planning to execution.Project manage and set priorities with a structured process for planning and executing customer meetings, including kick-off meetings, check-in and post meeting debriefs.Curious and proactive in analyzing programs, leading conversations with stakeholders and providing recommendations ensuring follow-through.Oversees packaging work flows, both Sunkist brand and/or Private Label, in support of Sunkist marketing and Sunkist customers, including artwork designs, approvals (internal/external), coordination with packaging suppliers to ensure timely delivery of items consistent with brand standards.Hold a high standard of all work completed including communications, reports, projects and presentation, while maintaining a "can do" attitude that goes beyond the minimum requirementsPerforms other related duties and projects as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work units.Minimum Educational and Experience Qualifications/Requirements:
5 years of experience of shopper marketing, consumer insights and category managementBachelor's degree in Marketing, business, communications or a related field of study preferred.Experience and skilled at working with various retail media networks and systems to implement and manage programsStrong leadership, management and supervisory skills.Ability to balance strategic-thinking with strong detail orientation in a fast-paced, deadline driven environmentTechnical knowledge of communications, retailer relationships, partnerships, category management and consumer insightsIn depth knowledge of consumer behavior and in-store marketing best practicesTrack record of achieving maximum impact with limited resourcesStrong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects at onceFood industry experience preferred but not requiredAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingMust be willing and able to travelWillingness to step and step in on various projects as needed."Actual salary/hourly wages rates are determined upon a variety of factors such as level of experience, skill, education and/or certifications; location and position pay range; and organizational internal equity factors."
