Essential Functions And Responsibilities:Supports marketing department in coordinating and executing Downstream Casino Resort Events and Promotions and On-Property Entertainment that creates excitement, exceeds guest expectations, and increases sales, to include being the lead at property promotions.Ability to comfortably speak on the microphone and in front of large crowdsAssists in writing Promotional Rules and Regulations, planning and coordinating promotional displays, game items, etc.Assists in maintaining Events and Promotions Department giveaway inventoryAssists in event ticket reporting and inventory controlWorks with the marketing department to promote and advertise casino Events and PromotionsAssists in tracking the success of each property Events and PromotionsAssists in handling all back of the house communication regarding the Events and Promotions DepartmentHas valid driver's license, reliable transportation and current vehicle insurance to run errands when necessaryProvides support work to all areas of Marketing as neededAdhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical mannerActs as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Downstream Casino Resort and encourages others to do the sameMeets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policiesAbility to work a variety of hours and days including evenings and weekends
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.High school diploma or its equivalency required.Previous Marketing experience or experience in a closely related field is preferredMust have proficient computer skillsMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.Must have excellent organizational skills, analytical skills, and problem solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.Ability to work with multiple demands, meets or exceed tight deadlines, and be willing to accept broad challenges.Ability to define problem; collects data; establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with our customers and employeesMust have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming licenseMust be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
