JOB SUMMARY

Manages functional direct-report managers and their teams. Uses analysis and reports to guide the formulation of solutions for business issues. Interacts with other members of the property's executive team to create and support property-wide business development, service, and customer experience initiatives to drive loyalty. Interfaces with corporate marketing to provide reports as needed and to gain best demonstrated practices. Represents casino and hotel in tourism industry with a focus to drive incremental cash revenue and increase database. Develops, presents and executes marketing plans, presentations, and reports. Assists in the development and implementation of the departmental budget.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Achieve maximum revenue in each targeted market segment for gaming, hotel, and food and beverage.
  • Partnerships with Southern POD to create and strategize all marketing efforts.
  • Contributes ideas to grow existing business and expand into new business opportunities.
  • Anticipate and react to changes in competition, planning assumptions and will alter plans as necessary.
  • Interprets management philosophy to others; translating concepts into practical applications and analyze and modify systems based on given management concepts.
  • Analyze property's customer service scores and make recommendations for improvement. Analyze property performance and develop specific marketing programs to drive incremental, profitable revenue through events and promotions for existing customers and new customers.
  • Act as advocate for the customer.
  • In partnership with Casino Marketing Manager, oversees all Player Development and VIP strategy and tactical execution of cultivating high-worth gaming guests.
  • Manage the monthly events budget and oversee weekly forecast.
  • Actively participates in monthly financial close.
  • Oversee the Caesars Rewards partnership restaurant and attractions.
  • Directs and supports all employees to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Conducts timely Performance reviews in accordance with company policies and procedures; provide feedback; coaching and development guidance clearly articulating expectations.
  • Meets individually with employees to discuss career goals, identifies skills needed to achieve goals and develops action plans to satisfy both.
  • Assists employees through development process by following-up on a regular basis and holding employees accountable to plan.
  • Cross-trains employees and prepares employees for next career opportunity.
  • Holds management accountable for performance and delegate assignments to the most appropriate person by analyzing the requirements of the task relating those to the capabilities of employees to accomplish tasks on time and within budget.
  • Create and ensures an environment conducive to fostering of teamwork, employee morale, motivation, and open communication.
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies


QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field. MBA preferred but not required. 5+ years' experience in marketing within the gaming entertainment industry. Experience assessing business needs and developing strategies to address those needs. Strong sales, promotions, events, hotel revenue, and direct marketing experience required. Strong communication skills are essential. Proven experience in developing, leading, and managing a team to success. Must have the ability to simultaneously manage several projects and unforeseen obstacles. Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks. Must present a well-groomed appearance.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino and hotel. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at an assigned office area. Must have the manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as, PC, fax machine and photo copier. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
