Position Summary:
The Digital Marketing Manager is the Boreal Ridge Corporation's family of brands marketing website and CRM functional expert. The position is responsible for Woodward Tahoe/ Boreal and Soda Springs websites and responsible for CRM management through execution. Demonstrated success in working with third party technology partners is a must, as this role will manage, collaborate, and work in close partnership with Woodward Tahoe, and Woodward Global digital website and CRM partners - both internal and external. Being passionate about brand distinction, digital optimization, data analysis, and self-driven to implement best practices in website and CRM is critical to success of this role. In addition to function expertise, the ideal candidate will have a collaborative spirit, leadership experience, and demonstrated strategic thinking.
The Digital Marketing Manager will work in an ongoing close partnership with the Woodward Tahoe Marketing Director to define website goals and CRM strategy and realize this strategic vision. This position manages the Marketing Specialist, Content Specialist, and the Events & Partnerships Specialist in a manner that stimulates professional development, while advancing Woodward's mission, seasonal marketing, and product marketing goals and objectives.
The successful candidate: Is innovative, analytical and strengthens our market position through linkage with IT, Talent & Culture and Marketing functions. Guides business development through data analytics and market analysis. Is honest and has the highest integrity, is driven and demonstrates the ability to learn. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Woodward Tahoe Marketing Director to define goals for events and communications strategy and implement the strategic vision.
Collaborate with external partners to ensure seamless events and communications functionality.
Continuously stay up-to-date on regional marketing trends and best practices to enhance personal skills and better assist the team.
Website Development and Strategy:
Implement and ensure adherence to best web practices / SEO / SEM / Google Listings etc. Mentor and Partner with Marketing Specialist, Content Specialist, and Events & Partnerships Specialist on website development, optimization and ongoing content refinement. Develop, implement and maintain quality website content and promotions that successfully communicate services, products, and the experience to customers. Drive website visits and engagement via all types of devices. Strategize and implement future website enhancements and development; liaise with contracted website development/support companies and with POWDR's Technology and Marketing Services teams. Frequently audit websites to ensure that all content is current, accurate, complete and conforms to SEO/SEM best practices. Address and manage evolving ADA compliance mandates of websites. Maintain currency of information displayed on third-party websites, such as onthesnow.com, snocountry.com and other industry partner sites. E-mail Marketing and Customer Database Management and Coordination:
Support Marketing Director on product marketing and brand storytelling initiatives and ideas. Master Inntopia and customer database platforms; analyze and report on customer engagement, purchase history, migration, and trends. Liaise with technology partners to implement projects, analyze performance, and optimize best email marketing practices. Develop audience specific strategies to increase email engagement, delivering versioned visual and word content through marketing emails. Primary writer of CRM emails. Develop strategy and content for execution of automated email messaging; generate new ideas for post-purchase, pre-arrival and post-visit communications. Data Analysis:
Monitor website analytics suggesting trends of guest usage to be used to shape website navigation and showcase key messaging. Integrate and interpret data from guest research, digital campaign metrics, and website traffic analytics to evaluate ROI and identify opportunities for increased engagement and growth. Demonstrate proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Adwords; analyze and implement GA and GTM tracking across website, social, e-mail and online advertising platforms. General Marketing / Other:
Work in an integrated and supportive manner with the marketing department to promote and storytell, as needed. Work with the Global Creative and Content team to consistently showcase the latest visual content. Address and manage evolving customer privacy concerns and regulations with CRM. Operate the Woodward Booth during events and live shows. Staff on and off-site events to promote Woodward. Be a source of creative assistance to the entire marketing team. Support brand-building and go-to-the-market objectives. Owner of the Marketing Department project management platform. Assistance with incoming questions via social media and other channels. Support other Boreal Mountain Resort, Woodward Tahoe & Soda Springs operations as needed. Other duties as assigned. Specific Job Skills:
Creative writing:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong copywriting ability with a bonus understanding of writing with a 'Brand Voice'. Technical:
HTML code proficiency and understanding of website CMS design and function. Advanced level of computer literacy in Microsoft packages. Proven experience working with CRM/Email marketing and campaign management. Demonstrated experience in working with databases, data analysis, segmentation and email marketing platforms. Competent in data analysis with the ability to produce reports and derive valuable insights and opportunities. Interest in emerging trends in digital marketing industries. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEO and SEM proficiency. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee Marketing Specialist, Content Specialist, and Events & Partnerships Specialist Professional and functional expertise mentoring to foster holistic professional growth, evaluate performance, regular 1:1 meetings. Manage project and MarComms launch timelines and track progress; give clear direction and support Specialist(s) to define processes and best practices. Teamwork value.
