Grant Writer - Part Time

Location: Louisville, KY - In Office
Job Summary:
Researches, develops, writes, and submits foundation and corporate grants; completes required reports set by foundation guidelines; reviews guidelines and ensures report compliance; maintains donor relations with funders. Analyzes, prioritizes, prepares complex grant applications; writes narratives, and compiles required paperwork to maximize opportunities for financial support for new and/or existing programs. Performs identified administrative duties for the divisional development department.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Marketing, or related field, and four years of experience writing technical reports and/or researching and applying for grant funds, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the general operations of not-for-profit organizations. Knowledge of the principles and practices of grant research, writing applications and administration.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to compile and report statistical information with accuracy. Ability to maintain organized records for project planning and coordination.
Ability to read and interpret legal documents and contracts.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to perform mathematical computations.
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Work is performed on-site in office environment.
