Nevada News Group is currently seeking qualified candidates for Full-time Sales Assistant. Candidates with strong customer service and a positive upbeat attitude are encouraged to apply. We prefer candidates reside in Douglas County.
As a Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Associate Publisher and other management ensuring the achievement of sales targets.
You will work closely with the Associate Publisher to develop and implement effective sales strategies. This position requires a motivated and results-driven individual with strong communication skills. This is an entry level position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas.
Support Sales Team:
Assist the Associate Publisher in day-to-day activities to ensure the team meets & exceeds targets.
Data entry into booking system for production and billing.
Collaborate with the Associate Publisher & Sales Director to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Prospect multiple businesses per month with direction from Associate Publisher or Sales Director.Assist in subscription sales for publications to businesses and homes with direction from Associate Publisher, Sales Director & Circulation Manager.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and promote customer satisfaction.
Address customer concerns and ensure timely resolution.
Provide advertising proof and other data driven results to customers.
Attend monthly local chamber luncheons and events.
Participate in community driven events with Associate Publisher.
Sales Reporting:
With the Associate Publisher, prepare and analyze sales reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Training and Development:
Participate in training sessions with the sales team to enhance product knowledge and selling techniques.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Strong organizational skills for tracking client management efforts.
Experience scheduling appointments. Experience working with small businesses. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Results-driven with a focus on achieving sales targets. Knowledge of Douglas County and Carson Valley beneficial, not required. Microsoft Excel knowledge very helpful.
Experience in a sales or related role a plus but not required.
Working Conditions:
Primarily inside the office with sitting for extended periods unless out with Associate Publisher. Position requires working in Douglas County, and occasionally in Carson City and Reno. The sales assistant will interact with a diverse range of people, making strong interpersonal skills essential.
