Job Description: Senior Data Visualization / Graphic Designer
Job Summary:
The Senior Data Visualization/Graphic Designer will split time equally between analyzing data for external business analytics projects and producing compelling visual designs. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to provide data-driven insights that guide decision-making and operational improvements. Additionally, the role requires designing and producing graphic art for both print and digital media, ensuring alignment with brand and production standards. The position is ideal for someone with a mix of analytical and creative skills, experienced in both data analytics and graphic design.
Key Responsibilities:
Support external business analytics projects by providing data-driven insights to improve operations and business strategies.
Analyze and interpret complex data sets, including KPIs, business results, competitor intelligence, and customer data, to generate actionable insights.
Develop statistical models, dashboards, infographics, and reports to inform stakeholders and support decision-making processes.
Leverage a variety of data sources and business intelligence tools to mine and process internal and external data.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business models, objectives, and challenges, providing analytical solutions that align with strategic goals.
Utilize advanced analytics techniques, including data modeling and statistical methodologies, to support business objectives.
Design and produce visual content for various media, including print and digital, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
Develop creative solutions for marketing, advertising, sales, and other communication needs.
Conceptualize and deliver designs within project timelines and budgets, coordinating with clients and stakeholders as needed.
Utilize design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite to create high-quality visuals, including layouts, illustrations, and typographic designs.
Ensure designs meet production standards and best practices in color, composition, and digital production.
Stay updated on design trends and software to produce innovative and effective visual communications.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Graphic Design, or a related quantitative/creative field.
Experience: 4-7 years of experience in data analysis and graphic design.
Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and statistical methods.
Strong knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Solid understanding of data visualization principles and design best practices.
Ability to interpret complex data and transform it into clear, actionable visuals.
Experience with layout design, typography, and color theory for both digital and print formats.
Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Experience working in a healthcare or public health setting.

Compensation and Benefits The projected compensation range for this position is $93,912.50 to $128,562.50 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary is $110,300. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
