Job Overview:

This role will be a hybrid opportunity located in our Fort Mill, SC hub.

The Brand & Creative Marketing team is seeking a Creative Director to oversee the entire creative process, manage a talented team of writers and designers, and bring inspiration and creativity to the LPL Brand. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for insight-driven creative, tracking industry trends, and of course—creativity. As the most senior creative leader at LPL, you will maintain brand integrity across all company marketing initiatives and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership / Management: Develop a high-performing team of creative talent skilled at concepting and creating impactful multimedia content. Provide hands-on guidance to encourage and motivate the team to deliver great work. Bring out the best from the team and our agency partners.
  • Creative Excellence: Deliver creative work that brings our brand personality to life with a high level of thought and polish while acting as a steward for our brand personality, positioning, and visual expression internally. Manage the development of work across print, digital, animation, illustration, photography, conference activation, etc.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Partner with all marketing functions to create work that lives across earned and owned channels. Work closely with internal stakeholders and subject-matter experts, writers and content creators, and graphic designers and videographers to tell impactful and effective brand stories.
  • Team Operations and Structure: Work closely with a creative project manager to ensure capacity planning, and aligning the right talent on the right projects, and upskilling the team as appropriate.
  • Innovation: Anticipate industry trends, and keep the work fresh and relevant. Explore ways to leverage AI and resource outsourcing to ensure optimization of team resources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a hands-on and/or design/writing leadership position
  • 4+ years leading and motivating a creative team
  • Excellent understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects
  • Experience working with Canva

Preferences:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills—strong writing skills a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Approach your work as an agile expert, a pragmatic problem solver, and a humble visionary
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across many teams in the organization—collaboration is key to success in this role
  • Experience in collaboration with vendors and agencies
  • Experience working on a brand launch is a plus
  • Financial services experience a plus, not required

Pay Range:

$125,800.00 - $209,600.00 Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
