Online Guitar Lessons from Jazz & Music MinorDescription Hello! My name is Jeremy.
Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.
I am from just outside of Chicago, where I attended concerts with my father from an early age and began playing guitar at 10 years old.
I played in rock bands throughout my childhood, teaching myself music theory while learning songs along the way.
When I reached college, in addition to playing in several rock bands, I decided to formalize my musical education and study jazz theory.
Playing live music is one of my greatest passions, and I love sharing this passion with students eager to begin or continue their musical journeys. My teaching philosophy is about helping students learn the joy of playing music, while also learning how music works.
When I was 10 years old, if I were placed in front of a classical theory book at my first lesson, there’s no way I would be playing music through today! But today, I very much understand the value of theory and technique.
That’s why I structure my lessons by 1) allowing the student to choose a song they would like to learn, 2) teaching them this song, and 3) teaching them the theory behind this song.
In this way, I have helped many students find a love for music, while also gaining fundamental knowledge for the building blocks of music.Of note, I am also a fluent Spanish speaker and can provide quality music lessons in Spanish upon request.Availability:Virtual (Online) one-on-one Private LessonsMonday- Sunday***Use this link to book a FREE intro call or Schedule your 1st Lesson for 50% OFF:***https://calendly.com/d/ysj-35w-d57ORSend me a Text message!(252) 675-6158
