Safely ingest, backup, organize and transcode media using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, checksum softwares and DaVinci Resolve Output dailies, stringouts, selects and radio cuts.Compile and organize sfx, B-roll and other necessary assets for post production projects Output turnover materials for color and sound (EDLs, XMLs, AAF’s, etc).Export and deliver version cuts to Frame.io.Clean up and project manage final sequences, and output archival deliverables (high res. texted renders, high res. textless renders, audio stems, and other master file deliverables).Collaborate closely with a creative team to build engaging visual stories.Assist in the conceptual development of original content.Communicate your artistic vision for crafting content.Help create animation and motion graphics.Communicate with post production team, producers and designers to ensure successful edits.Take creative notes and apply them to recut edits.Troubleshoot inefficiencies and collaborate on post production optimizations.Stay current with the latest trends, techniques and tools related to post production.Manage video files and asset library to deliver video files transfers as needed.Edit one episode for an Internal News series.Edit various short form narrative structures: live action, news, reality, comedy, B-roll, sizzle reels, etc.Qualifications and Experience:
Role is fulltime onsite in Santa Monica for the duration of the contract.In depth experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs with an emphasis on Premiere Pro.Familiarity with all aspects of video production, pre-production, and post-production.Previous work and experience with a production company, studio or film/TV projects.Confident with Mac OS and iOS.Effective interpersonal and team collaboration skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.3+ years experience in post-production editing.Open to creative feedback.Understands different video formats and codecs.A good understanding of audio, lighting, color correction, motion graphics and keying footage.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Able to create simple animations and motion graphics using After Effects.Excels at Google Suite applications (Drive, Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc.).Experience working in a studio environment is a plus.Fluent with Snapchat and an avid Snapchatter.A good knowledge of cameras and microphones.Compensation & Benefits: The compensation range for this position is $64,000-$74,000 (annual salary).
