Marketing and Forney Coordinator Experience-OC

The primary purpose of this position will be to develop and implement effective marketing strategies targeting various audiences to communicate and promote the multifunctionality, activities and events of the dynamic and innovative OC campus. In addition, this role will assist in the research, promotion, implementation and training of effective service strategies to enhance the overall Forney ISD Experience for all audiences.
Responsible for coordination and execution of all marketing efforts to promote the Keith Bell Opportunity Central (the OC), including promotions of event spaces, student-operated businesses, district-operated businesses, business partners operating within The OC, as well as engagement opportunities to enroll in special classes/ programs offered at The OC. Special event spaces at The OC include a banquet space that seats approximately 400, a theater space that can be set up in multiple configurations to accommodate groups of 100-600 people, A multipurpose space, two outdoor patio spaces, and an arena that can accommodate approximately 7,500 people. The OC hosts all types of events from corporate meetings, lecture series, fundraising events, concerts, graduations, trade shows, conferences, tournaments,competitions and more. In addition, The OCs first floor is open to the public throughout the week and features partner businesses such as eateries, retail boutiques, professional services, a coffee shop and a coworking space with open guest Wifi available. The OC Marketing Coordinator will interact with FISD students, staff, advertisers, vendors and community on a continual basis and requires a high degree of personal skill, customer service orientation, and communications ability. Examples of demonstrative high quality service may include, but are not limited to, prompt responses to inquiries, professional and courteous verbal and non-verbal communication, high degree of knowledge in order to proactively plan, problem solve and consult regarding support needed for marketing efforts.
Education / Certification:
High School Education. College Degree in communications, marketing, advertising, business, or related field.
Special Knowledge / Skills:
Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies and programs, execution tactics, and customer service skills.
Experience:
A minimum of three years experience in sales and marketing. Experience with marketing, graphic design, ad placements, website management, app management, social media marketing, email marketing, and project management. Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and apply the knowledge to a demanding environment. Valid Texas drivers license and access to personal transportation required.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to enhance visibility of The OC. Create engaging and impactful content for various marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, website, digital kiosks, and The OC app. Manage The OC social media accounts, curating content, monitoring engagement, and responding to audience interactions and messages. Maintain The OC website, phone app, and digital kiosks, ensuring content is up to date and aligned with marketing objectives. Create visually appealing marketing materials, such as brochures, banners, signage, digital assets, tabletop displays and more. Coordinate promotional events and campaigns. Conduct market research to identify audiences, trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth. Work with Engage to promote student and community program opportunities. Work with Code Ninjas management to promote membership subscriptions and camps. Work with Novus Escape Room management to promote bookings, events, and specials. Work with student-run businesses to promote special events/promotions. Assist with he creation and distribution of press releases and media outreach to enhance public relations and media coverage. Manage relationships with business partners and promote their OC-based events and specials through the OC marketing channels where appropriate. Manage relationships with vendors involved in marketing initiatives. Work closely with the OC event staff on marketing and promotion of event spaces and capabilities. Develop and manage a marketing budget to support all OC marketing initiatives. Identify, keep inventory of, and promote ad placement opportunities throughout The OC. Create marketing materials that provide specifics on advertising opportunities. Coordinate production and installation or placement of sponsor ads. Manage all payables and receivables related to internal or external paid advertising placements. Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors that provide necessary services or commodities. Perform other duties and projects assigned by the Forney Experience + Marketing office.
Environment / Working Conditions:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift and/or carry supplies weighing no more than 40 lbs. Ability to frequently walk, stand, and move throughout the work environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will primarily office at the FISD Administration Building with flexibility to be at The OC as needed. TEMPERAMENT: Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to effectively communicate with all members of the district community. Able to handle multiple priorities, make sound judgments, and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Able to provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, faculty, and parents. Possess experience responding with sensitivity to individuals from diverse backgrounds. Willing to accept constructive feedback, work cooperatively in group situations, and work actively to resolve conflicts. Maturity and integrity when handling confidential data. Flexibility and capability to manage, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to analyze, interpret, and solve detailed and highly technical problems across a range of hardware and software systems.
