Description
The Sr. Designer is an integral member of the creative team responsible for designing and supporting the identities for Apple’s products, events and future consumer experiences. The Sr. Designer contributes to all projects from initial blue sky ideation through final delivery of production. This role will specifically focus on developing design for both static and motion applications, helping guide the development of innovative and compelling creative. Key responsibilities include: Crafting innovative and inspiring campaigns that align with creative briefings, while collaborating with partners and mentoring junior creatives. Animation, design, and illustration experience are core to the role, with experience both presenting ideas and working closely with production from concept through delivery. Taking direction from project Art Directors and Creative Directors, responding swiftly to new information, and pivoting strategically when needed. Conveying a strong point of view on design solutions through innovative thinking. Driving workflows across multiple team members including Human Interface Design, Interactive Design, Brand and Production teams Collaborating closely with vendors by providing art direction, guidance, and feedback. Possessing an eye for aesthetic and creating a powerful story through the work. Working as part of a dedicated team, focused on excellent design in accordance with project constraints and parameters.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years experience building brand identities and campaigns, with motion design at the core of your skillset.
A portfolio exhibiting a thorough grasp of design principles, animation principles, motion theory, typography and visual communication.
Experience with the following design/animation software: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), After Effects, Cinema 4D (or equivalent 3D tool).

BA/BFA degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or other related discipline.
Strong eye for art direction. Presents as capable defining motion behaviors and developing a systematic and scalable approach to deliverables.
Experience with 3D Animation Software, such as Maya, Houdini and/or Nuke.
Knowledge of AR/VR and generative tools, and how they connect to design implementation and production.
Ability to drive workflows, communicating creative ideas and schedules across teams
Resourceful and proactive in finding solutions with excellent communication skills
Aptness to see around corners to ensure awareness of bigger problems and opportunities ahead
Ability to cut through ambiguity and find the path forward, despite uncertainty or challenges
Dynamic communication style, capable of real-time creative problem-solving in conversation and conveying a strong point of view for motion design solutions
Outstanding conceptual design and design problem-solving skills

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,100 and $173,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
