Job Summary:

The Designer will support the goals and programs established by the management team. These roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide and check drawings / BOM as per customer requirements.

Prepare bulk MTOs (Material Take Offs) and detailed BOMs (Bill of Materials) with no supervision from Engineer.

Ensure drawings follow the Engineering and QA/QC standards.

Prepare layout drawings to customer to present the proposed equipment and the function of the equipment.

Prepare and complete various Mechanical, Piping, Structural deliverable drawings and documents such as piping layout/general arrangements, piping isometrics, piping schedule, piping tie-point/ interface drawings, piping insulation details, structural general arrangement drawings, structural weld details /notes, structural connection detail drawings, foundation support details, equipment mounting / support details, pipe support details, weight / COG reports, manual valve list, HVAC ducting, instrumentation, flow diagrams, Process and Instrument Diagrams, pump alignment drawings, handrails /ladders, walkways, and stairs as per OSHA, platform and grating detailed drawings, etc.

Help in solving problems by simulating the problems in drawings.

Prepare sequence drawing and procedure for Factory Acceptance Test.

Prepare and compile installation procedure for submission to customer

Supervise the outsourcing of engineering design work to 3rd party engineering / design firms.

Review, as required, vendor data and drawings to ensure compliance with client specifications or applicable standards.

Produce report data from models and assist in providing necessary design information to Project/Client/Third Party, as required.

Provide “Lessons learned” feedback and utilize findings from the process to update tools and procedures

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Education:

Designer should be in possession of a Technical Certification in the design discipline

Experience:

A minimum of 10 years of experience mechanical, piping, and structural scopes of work for Hyperscale Data Center Modules or related environment in similar industry.

Ability to produce drawings / sketches to illustrate design / ideas.

Experience with high-density data centers and hyperscale environments (strongly preferred)

High level understanding of the purpose of electrical system for facilities.

General Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including but not limited to:

Experience working with computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) software.

Computer Skills:

Mastery knowledge and proficiency in:

Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)

PDF Editor (Adobe, Foxit, or other equivalent)

Solid Works

Autodesk AutoCAD

Navisworks Manager / Freedom

Operational knowledge in:

SAP (ERP Tool w/ Engineering Modules and Transactions)

Autodesk Revit

Autodesk BIM 360

Language:

Fluency, both written and verbal, in English.

General:

The compensation and benefits for this role are listed in compliance with applicable law. We are committed to offering fair and competitive pay aligned with each candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications, within the designated salary range for the role. Please note that the listed compensation and benefits apply only to successful candidates hired onto a local United States payroll. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $105,000 - $113,000.
