Overview
The Commercial Marketing Manager will manage the commercial marketing team responsible for overseeing global pricing approval, product level forecasting, and leveraging data analytics to inform decision-making and optimize business performance. This position will also own the design, testing, deployment, and support of software and business intelligence solutions to aid the product management and pricing teams as well as integrate with other business processes.
This role requires collaboration with sales, finance, product management, and operations to develop and implement pricing strategies, create data-driven forecasts, and analyze market trends to optimize revenue and margin goals.

Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in Durham, NC is $115,000 - $130,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.

Responsibilities
- Manage team of regional commercial marketing managers
- Establish and maintain the global price book and specific customer price books
- Manage the pricing approval process, ensuring all proposals align with corporate margin goals and market conditions
- Evaluate and approve special distribution, high quantity, sample requests for supportability.
- Manage order codes - set up from broken cost report in PAT, changes requested from PM team (multiple xs/week), SMI order code setup
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and industry standards to inform pricing decisions.
- Provide recommendations on promotional pricing, discounts, and distributor stocking strategies
- Manage and facilitate sales of SMI
- Develop, manage, and maintain monthly revenue quantity and ASP forecasts based on data trends, sales inputs, and internal sales insights
- Monitor ASP erosion for product portfolio, report anomalies in findings
- Present sales forecast reports and key insights to senior management and operations.
- Build Tableau dashboards for internal stakeholders using demand and pricing data/forecasting/and margin projections
- Maintain and provide quarterly demand by application reports
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis based on internal stakeholder requests.
- Perform data validation and comparison between databases, excel sheets, and SAP table views to ensure one-source-of-truth data. Work with IT other teams to resolve discrepancies
- Develops and maintains applications and databases by evaluating internal stakeholder needs, analyzing requirements, and developing software solutions.
- Maintains data integrations between ERP system and commercial marketing applications; modifies, tests, and deploys updated integration packages
- Assists product management and business analysts with the creation of business intelligence data sources; modifies database views to increase data source performance, and migrates database views during Cree LEDs transition to a new ERP system and BI reporting tool
- Assists super-users with trouble-shooting abnormal operations, identifying bugs, and developing new processes to better utilize application capabilities
- Work closely with the sales and product management teams to align marketing strategies with business goals
- Present data-driven recommendations and findings to cross-functional teams, including senior management
- Act as the point person for pricing and forecasting matters, ensuring clear communication and alignment across departments
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial marketing, pricing, forecasting, or related roles
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or related field Master's degree or MBA preferred
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and forecasting techniques
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau
- Experience with pricing strategy development and competitive analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B or product marketing environments.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, ERP systems, or other forecasting software.
- Strong leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
