Senior Interior Designer . We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home. Considering this model, this role could be based in the following cities:

Position Summary:
As Senior Interior Designer you will be helping lead our integrated design team and are responsible for collaborating on the design of projects from pre-design and programming through construction administration, on projects ranging in size and complexity. You will often lead project design efforts, client interactions, and presentations. You will mentor younger staff, fostering a work environment that emphasizes mutual respect, integration, learning, communication, and collaboration. You will work collaboratively with clients, contractors, vendors and DLR Group team members to deliver projects. The individual we are seeking has strong creative skills and will foster a design forward culture, building a progressive hospitality practice with a competitive advantage in the industry.
What you will do:
Be a collaborative design team member, leading thought-leadership throughout all phases of the design process.Have strong client and time management skills.Set a vision and direction for design concept presentations.Set a vision and direction for material palettes, reviews, and provides feedback to the team for development.Have strong creative design and drawing skills, graphic and oral design presentation skills, capacity for conceptual design thinking, and 3D design/modeling ability.Partake in project interviews and support the growth of the Hospitality studioRequired Qualifications:
8-12 years of experience with a significant portion in the Hospitality MarketBachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or equivalentAbility to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices.Outstanding communication, great interpersonal skills, and an enthusiastic team player.Strong leadership and team building skills.Strong time management skills.Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office SuiteProficiency with SketchUp and some 3D rendering softwareFamiliarity with FFE specification software and producing custom specificationsThe ability to travel occasionally to support project tasksMust be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:
Professional NCIDQ CertificationIndustry involvement in relevant market sector organizationsAn understanding of how to estimate fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contractsHas an interest in Healthy Materials and sustainable building design
