What You'll Do

The Director of Creative Services will be a key partner to the VP of Content and Brand, focusing on process optimization, operational efficiency, and team management. This role will be critical in creating and maintaining workflows that allow the creative team to thrive, enabling the VP of Content and Brand to concentrate on creative strategy and vision. The Creative Operations Director will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality. They will manage people including internal creative team, external freelancers, and creative agency support. This role will also streamline processes and drive operational excellence within the team, providing business-focused leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Other responsibilities include:
  • Develop and implement efficient processes to manage the creative team's workflow, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Oversee the planning, prioritization, and allocation of resources across the creative team to ensure optimal productivity and quality output.
  • Act as a liaison between creative and other departments (e.g., marketing, product, sales) to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and reporting for all creative projects, driving accountability and ensuring financial and time targets are met.
  • Partner with the VP of Content and Brand to execute the overall creative strategy, ensuring the operational framework supports the creative vision.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers and creatives, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement and maintain project management tools and software, ensuring seamless communication and documentation across the team.
  • Identify and solve operational challenges, continuously improving processes to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that all creative operations adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.


What You'll Need to be Successful
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in creative operations, project management, or a similar role, preferably within a creative agency or in-house creative team.
  • Proven experience managing creative workflows, people, and processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., SmartSheets).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to balance business objectives with creative needs, ensuring the team delivers high-quality work on time and on budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
