Job Overview
The Hubbell Enterprise Marketing (HEM) Associate Graphic Designer creates and elevates brand awareness of Hubbell and its portfolio of brands through creative graphic design. They energize their clients with a natural eye for design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences. The Associate Graphic Designer should be extremely creative, dedicated, and committed to high quality work product under strict deadlines. The right candidate will have strong conceptual skills, design expertise and the ability to clearly articulate how conceptual ideas tie to solving business problems. They will ensure a consistent Hubbell voice through storytelling, imagery, and overall look and feel to drive customer awareness, engagement, and advocacy.

A Day In The Life
Use best-in-class design tools, techniques, and technologies to produce innovative graphic design and artwork for use in presentations, publications, promotional materials, websites, social media, and other mediums as assigned
Create proofs of printed copy and art and copy materials
Confer with internal customers to discuss project requirements, objectives, presentation concepts and then coordinate creative activities
Understand and utilize stakeholder or creative leadership feedback to improve designs
Provide input and collaboration on design concepts, brand standards, and art layouts
Create custom illustrations or other graphic elements, conforming to standards and specifications
Ensure high quality and on time completion of all work projects
Serve as a core designer on projects with an ability to execute successfully with support from team leads
Work with team leads to understand and contribute to creative strategy for projects
Articulate design decisions and present work to creative leads and stakeholders
What will help you thrive in this role?
BFA or BS degree in graphic design, illustration, fine arts, or other relevant field of study.
At least 3+ years of experience in graphic design or related experience
Ability to work with the Adobe Creative Suite specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
A solid understanding of and hands-on experience applying graphic design principles and best practices
Strong knowledge of and experience in graphic design, illustration, animation, packaging, web design and multi-media required
The ability to work with little to no supervision in delivering high quality work and is capable of effectively collaborating with global, cross-functional teams as needed
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively
Strong listening, project management, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a result-driven environment
