Big Leapers have the option to work remotely, in the Lehi office, or a hybrid setup. Candidates located in Utah are preferred, with general preference also given to Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Washington, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, or Michigan.
What does success look like in this position?
Big Leap, a leader in the SEO agency space, has expanded its services to include Paid Media (search, social, display, and others) and is looking for a senior leader to guide the product development and execution of Paid Media services.
The Director of Paid Advertising will report to the EVP of Client Operations and will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s paid media and advertising strategies, research and development of new innovations, managing and mentoring paid media team members, interacting with paid media clients, and improving our internal processes and training.
Success in this role will be the ability to optimize the team for high client performance and retention and oversee the world-class paid media products Big Leap can offer its clients.
Essential Functions
- In close concert with other leaders and team members in the organization, help align the brand and messaging objectives of Big Leap and its clients to shape our paid media strategy and strengths as an agency.
- Provide thought leadership to develop innovative paid media strategies, track and optimize performance, review others’ work, and train others in the development of paid media and advertising.
- Develop, refine, and retain high-performing paid media client accounts, focusing on articulating key industry challenges, business problems, best practices, and unique value propositions to generate interest among our client's target audiences.
- In collaboration with our client success team, interact with paid media clients to discuss strategies, results, and opportunities for account growth.
- Work closely with the product, sales, creative services, and fulfillment teams to identify new opportunities, channels, and paths for success for our clients.
- Oversee the development, improvement, and execution of current departmental processes and future initiatives.
So, what does the day-to-day look like for the Director of Paid Advertising?
This role is immersive and dynamic, which means that every day will be different. However, at its core, you'll be responsible for:
- Report on product KPIs & goals
- Coordinate delivery of a superior product to client services and Big Leap clients.
- Work with client services and product teams to develop and help train on client strategy, roadmap execution, and large initiative planning.
- Interact with internal peers and/or Managers to exchange pertinent data and information related to projects.
- Client relationship duties and responsibilities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
This job might be a fit if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in paid media account management or strategy, including search advertising (Google Ads, Bing Ads), social advertising (Facebook, Instagram), display, and programmatic.
- Proficient experience in managing a team.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in an Agency environment or similar fast-paced setting is critical.
- Ability to successfully manage and move forward multiple projects at the same time.
- Experience in client-facing and client-relationship scenarios and duties.
- When working from home must be within the United States or in our Lehi, Utah office. Occasional travel may be required.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Some projects may require advanced skills in each area.
- Prompt and regular attendance is required.
