Job Description
Join ALSAC as an Audience Architect I, where you'll play a pivotal role in the creation and management of National Direct Marketing (NDM) response programs. This position involves the analysis, execution, and management of audience criteria selection for direct response mail and email campaigns. Job Description
Join ALSAC as an Audience Architect I, where you'll play a pivotal role in the creation and management of National Direct Marketing (NDM) response programs. This position involves the analysis, execution, and management of audience criteria selection for direct response mail and email campaigns. You'll ensure deadlines, data quality, process objectives, and strategic requirements are met, while also leading initiatives and serving as a subject matter expert in process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Audience Criteria Management:
- Build and manage audience criteria for all direct mail and email programs using segmentation and selection software.
- Collaborate with program owners to understand audience selection criteria and make strategic recommendations to meet departmental goals.
Validation and Analysis:
- Validate audience selection criteria using analytical skills and make strategic recommendations.
- Recognize potential deadline impacts and facilitate discussions with business units to minimize disruptions.
Testing and Implementation:
- Design and implement testing initiatives for direct mail and email programs.
- Create and implement new calculated fields and process changes in segmentation software.
Administration and Technical Skills:
- Administer direct marketing response programs through audience segmentation tools.
- Utilize technical skills such as SQL queries, calculated field design, pivot tables, and data management.
Collaboration and Feasibility:
- Collaborate with program owners on campaign changes and share feasibility information.
- Adjust campaigns using best-in-class processing methods to meet business needs.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze and improve existing operational processes to add efficiencies and remove non-value-added steps.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for new software, process changes, and strategic campaign tool implementation.
Data Validation:
- Perform back-end and front-end data validation through SQL scripting and data warehouse tools.
- Pull specific information from Oracle/data warehouse tables and validate with the CRM application.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with internal and external vendors supporting direct marketing campaign processes.
- Ensure data format and layouts meet NDM and ALSAC standards in all audience file creations.
Audience Source Management:
- Manage audience source counts and source code creation for all campaigns.
- Provide budget-specific information related to audience counts, trends, and forecasting.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare detailed criteria grids and campaign data management reports using advanced SQL skills.
- Ensure all business requirements for direct mail and email programs are captured correctly.
Strategy Implementation:
- Oversee sections of the campaign strategy implementation guide for each direct marketing program.
- Review and communicate recommendations to business owners to ensure campaign requirements are met.
Performance Monitoring:
- Translate criteria and direct marketing selection grids to performance analysts.
- Identify major process changes, explain new tactics, and monitor the performance of test versus control groups.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Assist in developing and launching new program strategic initiatives managed through the campaign management solution in NDM.
Qualifications:
- Highly organized and comfortable following processes.
- Effective communication skills with program stakeholders through verbal, written, and face-to-face interactions.
- Basic understanding of tables, data management, and criteria selections through data management tools (Access, SQL, data warehouse, etc.).
- Proficiency in data processing applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to understand complex direct marketing procedures and processes.
- Exposure to data segmentation tools like Unica, Salesforce, etc. is preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of experience in marketing, analysis, direct response agency, or fundraising.
