The Role:
The technician is responsible for the complete delivery of assigned installations from initial project planning (in partnership with the assigned project manager and project lead) through final programming and project hand-off.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Execution of Project:
Interprets architectural plans (CAD) and advanced low-voltage schematic drawings as needed
Immediately communicate any change orders, additional product request and additional labor resource request to Project Manager.
Communicate daily project status to Project Manager.
Create staging area at site of project.
Review product delivery sheet to ensure all product required for assigned project is accounted for.
Adhere to MSI sign in/sign out procedures for product delivery.
Assist in the completion of complex audio video installs, set-up and calibration and integration of lighting and shade.
Assist in the completion of rack assemblies, configurations, and wire management.
Assist in advanced networking/data system, install, and set up.
Full troubleshoot and testing of system must be completed prior to demonstration to customer.
Complete punch list provided by Project Lead generated from final walk-through.
Provide detailed notes and update work order status in appropriate software(s) per MSI project status guidelines.

MSI Required Procedures:
Follow MSI time tracking procedures in appropriate software(s).
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and organization daily. Report van stock request to Project Manager.
Perform weekly vehicle inspection report and turn in to Project Manager.
Adhere to MSI dress code and code of conduct in accordance with daily scope of work.
Attend remote and on-site training to develop and maintain required skills.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-3 years in the AV/Access control installation field with basic understanding and knowledge of the industry.
  • Some travel required
  • Basic knowledge of construction and working with tools.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft products and Apple products Must have strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Self-sufficient, self-motivated, organized, reliable and punctual. Self-started with the ability to maximize efforts daily, without daily supervision.
  • Professional Demeanor and good people skills.
