We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Broadcast Entertainment and Media to join our team. This is a hybrid position and will be based in our Fort Lauderdale office. In this role you'll serve as the Operational Producer and Technical Director for all onboard broadcast and media and delivery of entertainment programming. You'll be responsible for the development, execution, production, and ongoing maintenance of all shipboard TV and Media Content relating to Broadcast Operations. You'll operationalize all new product, programming and development and provide leadership and management of all projects for the onboard Broadcast Team aligning production objectives with overarching business goals and ensuring all onboard programming and production is executed to the highest creative standards. Finally, you'll play a pivotal role in spearheading strategic planning and budgeting including newbuild, resource allocation, and fostering strong business relationships and creative collaborations with external partners and production companies, ensuring that all onboard Broadcast programming remains innovative, marketable, and aligned with Princess' strategic vision and brand identity.

Responsibilities
  • Broadcast and Programming Operations and Development
    • Serve as Senior Manager, Shipboard Broadcast Operations and Media for all onboard programs both new, existing and newbuild projects driving the continued elevation and execution of all guest experiences within the Broadcast and Media program. Responsible to manage, deliver and give technical support in all aspects of entertainment Broadcast. Research, develop, and implement strategic planning of all broadcast shipboard operations. Support and collaborate with all activity and entertainment projects including project producers, production managers, creative team, and production teams to drive the production process, financial management, content renewal and management, contract negotiations and budget planning. Create cohesive shipboard programming with all areas of Princess Creative, Hotel Operations, Revenue, Food and Beverage and Marine to generate NPS, revenue and industry recognition.
  • Entertainment Broadcast Leadership
    • Responsible to manage, develop, and create effective and efficient onboard broadcast teams to achieve successful performance and professional development. Give operational support to both shipboard and shoreside personnel on Broadcast related systems and media. Provide guidance to shoreside entertainment team and creatives on the operational functionality, capabilities, projects, events, inaugurals, rehearsals, parties, and special functions on how broadcast can enhance the overall execution of all. Offer creative producer and director expertise for Broadcast filming and onboard product. Develop and execute end-to-end broadcast production and direction strategies overseeing the conceptualization and planning of marketable onboard broadcast programming, including activities, entertainment shows, special events, itinerary specific and themed cruises, sporting events, global entertainment activations to enhance Princess' guest experience and market consideration. Align the technical elements and production of all onboard broadcast programming with the creative vision of the program and the operational feasibility. Partner with marine operations to ensure all entertainment Broadcast programming is delivered with equipment and facilities that are maintained and operational in accordance with company standards.
  • Activity and Entertainment Quality and Assurance
    • Establish and maintain the brand standards for the entertainment Broadcast Operations and Media and drives the quality control of all television content and onboard media production. Review consistently all entertainment Broadcast and Media to drive the onboard excellence to ensure maximum NPS, revenue and guest engagement within the Broadcast operations. Lead the onboard creative development program elevation, refresh and onboard entertainment Broadcast offerings, programming, to maximize guest experience, revenue opportunities, and media value. Ensure standards for background music are well developed, established and quality control mechanisms are in place to maintain appropriate ambiance across the fleet.
  • Budget and Contract Management
    • Negotiate and ensure all License Agreements that directly relates to all media aired on the closed shipboard television networks throughout the fleet are in place. Negotiate with vendors regularly to maximize budgeting of the onboard media offering. Ensures all contractual agreements are always in place and are executed as intended throughout the fleet. Manage the onboard Broadcast budget identifying efficiencies while delivering a successful Broadcast and Media program.
  • Media and Communications
    • Capture, edit, and produce content surrounding entertainment and activities. Create and distribute updated video content related to onboard programming, shows and new entertainment initiatives working closely with the Traveling Broadcast Manager. Strategically develop content and key activations and messaging to tell the social media and entertainment industry story of Princess Cruises Entertainment and Activity Program. Develop and maintain the Princess Entertainment website and all relevant messaging including continuous collation and updates of the current programming and onboard talent to enhance the brand presence and attract the optimum talent.
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Film/TV, Communications, Marketing, Broadcast or related professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience within the Broadcast/TV Industry in a corporate setting. Shipboard cruise experience strongly preferred.
  • Must possess strong working knowledge of Broadcast equipment, satellites systems, production gear, cameras, editing software, and industry related applications.
  • Subject matter expert knowledge and proven ability to build and lead diversified teams in broadcast.
  • Core knowledge and experience with broadcast technology, television and video development, production, and post-production processes.
  • Ability to drive strategic discussions and collaborate with external clients and partners to produce and support mutually beneficial content-related business initiatives.
  • Excellent project management and producing skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze budgets, schedules, and full-scale broadcast production plans for a variety of activation types (live events, theatrical productions, activities, events, live tv, Naming Ceremonies) to meet creative content goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive initiatives across divisional and functional lines at all levels.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Commitment to working effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills and strategically delegate or be hands-on as needed.
  • Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with producing partners, studios, and production companies and technical/ broadcast vendors.
  • Cohesive alignment and partnership with key shipboard and shoreside leadership, peers, and subject matter experts.

This is a hybrid role, based in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office. Candidates must be driving distance and comfortable going into the office 3 days per week.

  • Base Salary Range: $100,000-$135,000. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base pay is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
