Summary:

ValidaTek is seeking a highly qualified Senior Training Content Specialist to support the Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs Queue Management (CAQM/Q-Flow) lobby line management and customer experience program. The CAQM program provides software, hardware and capabilities that improve the customer waiting and service fulfillment experience at the bureaus domestic Passport Agencies and Overseas Posts. These locations provide Passport, Visa and Overseas Citizen services for U.S. citizens and foreign nationals.

As a Senior Training Content Specialist you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality training materials and programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of software end-users. This role involves collaboration with various departments to identify training needs, create engaging content, and ensure effective delivery and evaluation of training initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in instructional design, a strong understanding of adult learning principles, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.



Responsibilities:
  • Travel on training trips to overseas US Embassies and US based Passport Agencies to train end-users on using CAQM/Q-Flow software (Travel will average 25% per month, but can involve two week trips some months depending on customer deployment schedule)
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements.
  • Cross-train with application SMEs to learn how the software works and how the end-users use it to add value to their workflow.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input and insights on training needs.
  • Design and develop engaging, high-quality training materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), webinars, videos, and job aids.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional design methodologies to create effective learning experiences.
  • Ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with program goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Analyze feedback and performance data to continuously improve training materials and delivery methods.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in training and development.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other departments to gather content and validate training materials.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote training programs and initiatives.
  • Manage multiple training projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and consultants as needed.


Qualifications:
  • BA/BS or equivalent years of experience working in a training content related position.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a software trainer or instructional designer, preferably in a technology company or software development environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of software applications, platforms, and technologies, with proficiency in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with instructional design methodologies and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a passion for delivering high-quality training experiences and supporting user success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Department of State, specifically the Bureau of Consular Affairs


Posted Min Pay Rate:
USD $79,648.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate:
USD $132,746.67/Yr.

Salary Disclosure:
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
