Foth is currently seeking an innovative and results-driven Civil Design Technician looking to advance their career utilizing the latest technology in a team-oriented and client-focused work environment. This position will be working out of our Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) office as part of Foth'saviation services team.
Projects include improvements to a wide variety of airport infrastructure, including utilities, roads, taxiways, and runways. Our projects will challenge and reward you with many diverse opportunities to grow your career and technical skills.

Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate on design drawings for aviation projects including runways, taxiways, utilities, storm water systems, and other related improvements
- Create 3D models to support the design and engineering of key project elements
- Ensure that design standards and processes align with Foth and FAA standards
- Integrate new technologies within the design process
- Develop a knowledge base of FAA design standards
- Serve as technical support for the project team of design engineers and project managers
- Coordinate airfield construction activities with associated representatives of the client, contractors and regulatory agencies
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project manager regarding project scope, timelines, and related project issues to include adherence to project specifications (e.g., daily log, quantities, submittals)
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years' experience utilizing Microstation and or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Aviation design experience with knowledge of FAA design standards
