Bloomberg Media seeks an energetic and creative journalist and podcast producer to work on the ambitious podcast franchise, The Big Take, which includes a daily show and two weekly shows focused on Asia and Washington, DC. The narrative franchise, publishing 5 days a week, focuses on original, global and financial news. You will work under the guidance of the Deputy Executive Producer, in collaboration with a larger, global editorial and production podcast team including reporters and editors in Bloomberg’s wider newsroom.
We'll trust you to:
Produce Big Take podcast episodes
Write episodes with guidance from editors and hosts as well as booking, pre-interviewing and prepping questions for hosts, editors and show leadership
Pull and produce tape and assemble episodes
Regularly pitch and develop episodes with Bloomberg reporters
Step into Senior Producer role as fill-in when needed
Attend newsroom desk meetings to discuss episodes and communicate needs as needed
Work outside of normal working hours, for occasional meetings with Hong Kong and London, other times zones or breaking news
You'll need to have:
5+ years of journalism experience
Audio reporting or producing experience
Experience in Audition a plus; experience with audio editing programs
Demonstrated ability to write podcast episodes, identify strong tape and episode arcs as well as score episodes
Strong communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with others
We'd love to see:
Experience on a daily news show
Experience in writing narrative storytelling
Experience in business and financial news

Salary Range = 50-65 USD Hourly
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
