Associate Director of Marketing
for
Really Good Stuff
takes full ownership of conceiving, developing, implementing, and managing various marketing campaigns for the brand. Collaborating closely with the
Senior Vice President of Marketing - Excelligence Educational Solutions division (SVP-M) , this role is pivotal in transforming and revitalizing the RGS brand to meet and exceed market demands and consumer expectations, focusing on sales and EBITDA improvements.
This position is part of a team consisting of members from multiple
Excelligence Educational Solutions
division teams, including analytics, digital marketing, creative production, web development, merchandising, product development, sales, customer service, and operations. Additionally, this role involves managing relationships with third-party entities to enhance brand awareness, acceptance, preference, and purchase across all Excelligence channels.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the
Senior Vice President of Marketing - Excelligence Educational Solutions division (SVP-M) .
Specific Deliverables:
Brand Management and Recall:
Develop and implement strategies to enhance top-of-mind brand awareness among elementary school teachers and purchase decision-makers.
Portfolio Trial and AoV Growth:
Drive larger portfolio trials to achieve Average Order Value (AoV) growth among public sector customers by implementing cohesive product marketing strategies that synergize efforts across product development, sales, merchandising, and customer engagement.
Net Promoter Score:
Increase customer satisfaction by researching key drivers of satisfaction/loyalty and implementing initiatives to boost the Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Website Conversion:
Increase conversion rates on the RGS website by implementing specific AI-driven strategies and personalization, leveraging a holistic understanding of various target personas to create an end-to-end personalized experience across various channels.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist the SVP-M in developing the brand equity, visual identity, and equity pyramid of Really Good Stuff.
Partner with cross-functional teams to create key marketing strategies and programs for different channels.
Strategically assess and enhance brand awareness and recall for RGS, aligning with annual objectives.
Own and report on marketing plans and promotional strategies designed to generate sales, including testing, learning, and pivoting.
Monitor the influence of branding initiatives on sales, assess the cost-effectiveness of customer acquisition, and measure incremental Return on Ad Spend (iROAS) against annual goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content calendars and marketing initiatives meet lead generation and revenue goals for Really Good Stuff.
Partner with Web Development to ensure the RGS eCommerce site meets user experience needs and achieves performance goals (e.g., users, conversion, sales, Average Order Value).
Manage external vendor relationships, setting direction, evaluating performance, making adjustments, and holding them accountable.
Forecast, develop, and track RGS marketing-related metrics and iROAS analysis that are incremental to metrics produced by cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
TOP 3:
An A-Player with 5 years of brand and/or digital marketing experience, with several proven, documented examples listed on your LinkedIn profile of how you created top-line growth.
Loves to talk about how they improved CAC, ROAS, AOV, conversion rates, and incremental ROAS; and can explain how marketers use regression analysis to drive results.
Uses ChatGPT-4.0, Claude, or Gemini to help them improve their marketing outcomes; even better if they have created their own GPT within ChatGPT-4.0 (or something similar).
Strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies, with a flair for innovation.
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
Proficient in analytics software and data interpretation.
Keen eye for emerging market trends and an intuitive understanding of customer behavior.
High curiosity IQ; an inquisitive person.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, especially within a matrix organization.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, including those not directly reporting to you.
Must be organized with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to create and present impactful presentations to senior executives.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and superb execution and follow-through.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
