Purpose
of
PositionHybrid senior manager of internal communications reports to director, corporate communications. Leader of all enterprise-wide employee communications programs, responsible for strategy and execution. Requires strong writing, relationship building and leadership skills. Supervises one team member, as well as possible outside consultants/contractors and is responsible for their assignments, activities and performance. Requires the cultivation of relationships with company subject matter experts, key managers and executives. Requires ability to work independently and in conjunction with the director of communications, including backing them up as necessary. Requires ability to travel locally, regionally and nationally and to work outside traditional work hours, when necessary.Primary

AccountabilitiesDevelop, manage and execute strategic internal communications programs and produce opportunities to engage Constellation employees further with the company’s purpose, values and strategy.Assist director of communications in advising and counseling executives on employee engagement opportunities.Responsible for researching best-in-class employee communications approaches; staying current on trends, technologies and employee communications preferences; and making recommendations on how we can improve effectiveness.Lead direct reports in performance planning and ad hoc teams in business planning.Minimum
QualificationsRelevant bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in communications, journalism or a related field.Excellent writing and editing skills, both creative and technical.Demonstrated success as a strategic business partner and leader.Strategic thinking ability, self-motivation and independence.Excellent follow through capability; demands high level of performance from self and others.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in communications, journalism or related discipline.
