About the Role:
In this role, you will report to the Creative Director and lead our new Digital Acquisition focus area within the Creative team at Remitly. You will lead the development of static, motion and video solutions for paid social, app campaigns and other performance-driven digital acquisition channels that help the Marketing and Creative teams achieve outstanding results. We are looking for a leader with proven experience driving creative efforts in an agency or in-house setting. You are a recognized expert in this role, are known for your collaboration and relish building and improving upon process. You have a strong understanding of marketing channels, best practices, formats and solid expertise in enabling strong marketing creative across these channels.
You Will:
Lead a team of creative designers and copywriters focused on digital acquisition channels within Marketing; build the team as we scale.
Partner with other Creative Leads to establish creative strategies and ensure that brand look & feel, brand tone of voice, and integrated campaigns are brought to life across all channels.
Ensure all creative is insight-driven, on brand, and driving testing and optimization.
Balance guiding your team's creative output with your ability to jump in and own, design and/or write the work yourself.
Establish and evolve our creative standards and practices for the entire Marketing team.
Partner with marketers and project management to ensure input and briefs into marketing are actionable, clear, and insightful.
Present your work to internal stakeholders, and have sound reasoning or data to backup your points of view.
Partner with marketers throughout the creative process to ensure that our work delivers against stated objectives and goals.
Manage independently, communicating context and expectations to your team.
Create opportunities for direct reports to grow and flourish.
Set clear expectations for team members; solicit, synthesize and deliver constructive feedback.
Create relationships and trust with creatives, and other marketing leaders and teams.
You Have:
Minimum 8 years of experience in an advertising agency and/or in-house marketing team.
Consumer brand experience a must; digital brand preferred.
Proven expertise and knowledge of best-practices for mobile-first digital marketing.
Ability to operate autonomously, without strict guidance or structure and manage your own workload.
Ability to partner effectively with peers, managers and executives.
A highly-developed instinct for balancing brand goals with performance goals.
Ability to clearly articulate (and teach) your approach/thinking.
An understanding of A/B testing and validation.
A passion for people, communication, marketing, and storytelling.
Compensation Details:
The starting base salary range for this position is typically $136,000-$176,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
