Description

A part-time Visual Media Internship within our Marketing Department, specializing in creating visual narrative driven content for a variety of mediums, aiming to engage the community, bring awareness to our organization, and inform our families and staff on the impact of our organization.

SKILLS REQUIRED:The ability to collaborate effectively across departmentsThe ability to track and execute multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlinesCreating strong visual content for web and print collateralOccasional photography assignments to cover featured storiesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsThe ability to shape a story in a group and individual settingThe ability to produce various projects from the ground up if necessaryComfortable working directly with children during Photo/Video projectsRequired attendance at special events as requested (set-up & breakdown included)Other Duties as AssignedHOURS REQUIRED

20 hours a week

COMPENSATION:

A $500 stipend will be paid upon a successful completion of the internship

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

A student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Graphic Design or Media Production

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and InDesignRequired:

Familiarity with content management and distribution for web and printRequired:

Proficieny in Microsoft products including: Word, Excel, Power Point and OutlookPreferred:

Familiarity with digital photography and editingBonus:

Familiarity with Marketing Strategy, SEO, and Best PracticesBonus:

Video Production and Editing skills

*If a candidate is selected for the internship program, they are required to pass a background check, UCP will reimburse the selected intern for the background check upon successful completion of internship
