This opportunity is ideal for someone who loves lifecycle marketing and believes that newsletters should be delightful customer experiences tied to clear growth objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of both newsletter and promotional campaigns and contribute to the overall marketing plans for ATK.Our email and lifecycle strategies support all business objectives including digital memberships, magazine subscriptions, cookbooks, TV shows, podcasts and a few more ideas in the works. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting successful marketing automation programs, creatively implementing content marketing strategy, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.You will work closely with other members of the Marketing, Editorial & Product teams to strategize, plan, execute and analyze various email marketing initiatives and campaigns.Responsibilities include:Drive and manage a calendar for specific email products as assigned. This will include:

Creating advertising and content strategies for hitting goals for specific product linesCopy development and/or feedback for all ATK brands, including input where needed from editorial stakeholdersCollaboration with the design, social media, digital marketing, and editorial teams to bring newsletters into cross-channel campaignsCompiling reporting/analyze data on email newsletter performanceWorking in coordination with internal partners to strategize on offers, timing, and segmentation.Strategy, execution and insights of our newsletter products, including positioning briefs and regular audits with design and editorial partnersHelp conceive and implement tests aimed at improving email performance metrics (CTR, opens, etc.), sales and retentionContribute to list segmentation strategy to improve targeting, and analyze performance of segmentsActively participate in cross-functional project teams to support the implementation of new online, and social initiatives including:

Design and web developmentCommunication with Customer Service regarding initiatives that could result in customer feedbackCross-functional use of social video assets to support email executions

You'll be a great fit if you have:Documented success and experience specifically in advanced lifecycle marketing and automationOwned growth strategies for newsletter productsSegmentation and audience strategy experienceStrong POV on benchmark metrics including inbox placement, deliverability and sender reputationExperience with an advanced ESP set-upStrong analytical skills, a data-driven mindset and an interest in facing analytical challenges by diving deep into large datasets with Tableau and ExcelExperience and/or strong interest in applying agile methodologies and practicesExcellent organizational ability and ability to manage multiple projects on deadlinesExcellent communication skills and experience collaborating across functions and disciplinesExperience with and desire to create compelling and effective marketing campaignsInterest and opinions on newsletters, generally, no matter the industry1-3 years of specific email experience in building and deploying email campaigns for large & dynamic audiencesYou love to learn new things, and are proactive about doing soYou’re a creative problem solver with strong attention to detailYou’re highly collaborative, both with folks with similar skill sets and also those across teamsThis position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district.
