STEM Talent Solutions is hiring: Audio-Visual Field Technician in Cuyahoga Falls

Field Technician:
This role is responsible for the installation and service of low voltage systems that we provide to our residential and commercial customers. You will work closely with the project manager and field engineer who will provide the information needed to install said systems and will also provide direction on each project.

• Ability to be punctual and on time to work.
• Follow oral and written directions. Communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Knowledge and ability to use computers and programs including, word processing, spreadsheets, databases and computer aided design.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with persons contacted in the course of work.
• Ability to perform skilled installation and repair of limited low voltage installations.
• Ability to read building blueprints and electronic schematics.
• Possess the following required licenses: Ohio driver’s license.
• Possess High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of safety procedures, guidelines and rules.
• Pulling, labeling, dressing and termination of horizontal cable, including cat5, cat6, fiber, coax, AV wire, Fire Alarm and security & access control.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as you will need to interact with team members, clients, and management. As you progress, it is vital to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:
• Lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs. at waist height for short distances.
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. at waist height for short distances.
• Occasionally lift 50 lbs. overhead for short distances.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of trade tools (screw driver, wire strippers, cordless drill, hammer, etc.).
• Walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Push/pull up to 100 lbs. at shoulder height.
• Bend at the waist, kneel, crawl, crouch and stoop.
• Reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally.
• Climb ladders and work from heights.
• Drive 1-4 hours per day
