The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a key role in shaping EHDD's internal and external communications. Reporting to the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager, this position will develop and manage a variety of content, including thought leadership pieces, blog posts, media articles, social media updates, and proposal materials, to enhance EHDD's visibility and reputation. This role is pivotal in driving EHDD's proposal development process, ensuring the delivery of compelling and high-quality marketing collateral that supports business development and secures new projects.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal and Marketing Collateral Development:
Lead the creation of portfolios, qualifications packages, and proposals, focusing on RFP/RFQ submissions. Collaborate closely with teams to develop materials that are strategic, tailored, and impactful, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Content Development:
Write, edit, and publish original content for the firm, including proposal content, thought leadership pieces, blog posts, media articles, and social media updates that amplify EHDD's brand and expertise.
Brand and Digital Strategy:
Elevate EHDD's brand reputation through strategic digital awareness and public relations efforts, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across all platforms.
Communications Strategy Implementation:
Partner with the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager to execute and refine EHDD's communications strategy.
Business Development Support:
Assist in tracking business development leads and outreach initiatives, providing strategic input and solutions for new opportunities.
Research and Insights:
Assist in conducting marketing research initiatives to stay ahead of industry trends and refine communications strategies based on insights.
Mission Alignment:
Communicate EHDD's mission and values through storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences and stakeholders, enhancing our position as a transformative design leader.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role, preferably within the A/E/C industry or related field.
Proven track record in developing proposals for architectural design firms, with strong expertise in the RFP/RFQ process, and the ability to create winning submissions.
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through a robust portfolio of professional work.
Advanced proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office; experience with the full Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills and familiarity with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Asana, and Box.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, proactive team player with attention to detail and a collaborative approach
Additional Qualifications
Deep understanding of the business development lifecycle, including proposal development, RFP/RFQ submissions, and strategic client outreach.
Experience creating original content such as thought leadership articles, blog posts, and digital presentations.
Strategic thinker capable of articulating EHDD's differentiators and value proposition effectively.
Adaptable, with the ability to manage competing demands and unexpected challenges with professionalism and resilience.
Benefits, Compensation, and Equal Opportunity Employment
This is a full-time position based in San Francisco, with an anticipated starting salary range between $95,000 and $110,000, depending on experience, with the potential for hybrid or occasional remote work arrangements for the right candidate. Candidates MUST have some experience in the A/E/C industry.
