Position Duties/Responsibilities
The Assistant Professor of Art: Photography is responsible for teaching a broad range of undergraduate photography courses, beginning through advanced. The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, university teaching experience, and the ability to maintain an engaging and creative educational environment. The instructional load for this position consists of three (studio-lab: 6 hours, credit: 3 hours) courses per semester (fall and spring). Mentoring of advanced students within the concentration is expected. The Assistant Professor of Art: Photography requires the selected candidate to aid in the management of shared equipment and facilities, and to contribute to the continued development of the photography program. The selected candidate assumes all responsibilities related to Student Academic Advising, various University Committee Appointments, and Department-University-Community service initiatives while actively pursuing personal research.

Required/Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master of Fine Arts in Photography with qualifications to teach a broad range of relevant media-specific studio topics including, but not limited to: alternative photographic processes in a wet darkroom, analog and digital photography, digital media, and printing technologies.
- Record of research and creative endeavors.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of photographic history preferred.
