Apparel Graphic Artist Job at High Life LLC in New York

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating designs that are on trend, brand right, and meet business/seasonal objectives for a leading major Men’s activewear brand! This role will develop artwork from concept to production.

Responsibilities:

• Research trend for Men’s active branded and novelty capsule based graphics
• Create graphics that work either as stand-alone or collection/capsule, in partnership with cross-functional partners. This may include, but not limited to, graphic tees, apparel graphics, labeling, embroideries, fabric patterns, trims, etc.
• Stay abreast of new techniques and resources, while understanding technique application and its limitations.
• Flex creatively between various projects or requests as needed
• Work with proprietary PLM system
• Work on tech pack artwork for sampling/development and production
• Review strike-offs and work closely with cross-functional teams especially regarding pre and postproduction issues
• Maintain graphic resources and libraries and keep team assets replenished

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, Design, Textile Design or related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years in the apparel industry
• Strong creative eye with proven artistic abilities and understanding of Men’s activewear trends
• Excellent computer skills (Photoshop and Illustrator)
• Through knowledge of graphic production (e.g. screenprinting, heat transfer, roller prints, sublimation, embossing, etc.)
• Excellent understanding of typography
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities accordingly in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• Strong organizational, time management, communication, and presentation skills

Annual salary range starting $75,000
